Planning Specialist Position- Naples, FL

We are seeking Planning Specialists for the Naples, FL Branch of Westport Resources. We are very interested in speaking with you if you have your CFP® designation, several years of client facing experience and a passion for making a difference in other people’s lives. Candidates that fit into our firm and culture will desire to be part of an independent RIA firm environment acting in a fiduciary capacity, embrace technology, and working in a team environment. Self-proprietors that are currently in a situation where they have become overwhelmed by the administrative demands and are looking for professional support are ideal.

Position Overview

The successful candidates will bring in new clients and have the opportunity to manage existing client relationships. You will be expected to lead various projects including portfolio reviews and preparing financial projections using Excel spreadsheets and Money Tree financial planning software. Thorough computer skills are essential with a particularly strong understanding of Microsoft Excel. A strong working knowledge of portfolio allocation, investment management and general financial planning is expected.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Acquisition of new clients
  • Assist with trading and rebalancing of client investment accounts
  • Deliver multidisciplinary financial planning advice for high net-worth clientele independently
  • Develop and manage on-going client relationships independently
  • Expected to use networking skills to identify and attract high net worth clients, and develop focused strategies to create and expand relationships with centers of influence
  • Present 401k plan participant group education sessions
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to supporting team members
  • Provide input on strategic plan and direction of the firm
  • Involvement in all aspects of pre-client meeting activities such as data gathering, preparation of meeting agendas, client paperwork, Investment Policy Statements, asset allocations as well as post-client meeting tasks such as develop meeting notes, perform financial situation analyses, and coordinate planning implementation with outside professionals if necessary
  • Work with Money Tree FP and Pershing NetX360 software

Previous Experience, Licensing and Designations:

  • Existing book of business (preferred)
  • 3-5 years of wealth management experience
  • Four year degree from accredited institution
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65)
  • CFP® designation
